Sharjeel Imam gets bail in sedition case, to remain in jail in UAPA cases

Delhi’s Saket Court grants bail to Sharjeel Imam, accused in a case registered against him for allegedly making inflammatory speeches at Jamia during anti-CAA-NRC protest in 2019.

Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Anuj Agrawal granted bail to Sharjeel in the FIR (First Information Report) registered at the New Friends Colony (NFC) Police station.

Despite Saket Court‘s granting bail to Imam, he will continue to remain in custody, as he is yet to get bail in other cases pending against him.
