Senior Counsel Dushyant Dave and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta argued verbally

While testifying in a matter before the Supreme Court, Tushar Mehta, the solicitor general, and Dushyant Dave, the former president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, got into a heated argument.

In response to a bail request made by the defendant in a forgery case, the Special Government Counsel and Senior Advocate appeared before a bench comprising Justices Hemant Gupta and Sudhanshu Dhulia. The Bench also stated that if the counsel’s desire for adjournment

Then, Attorney General Tushar Mehta said, “Mr Dave will make vague arguments. Okay, I’ll say it to his face because people do it outside. Dave strongly disapproved of the same. “I highly object. Mr. Mehta, you are a shame to the Solicitor General’s office. “You act like a political appointee because you are one,” Dave stated.

They were warned by Justice Hemant Gupta to not go “tempers high.” The SG stepped back, denying Dave’s claim that he was a political appointee. The matter was then put on hold by the Apex Court.
