Known for her sharp political acumen and fiery speeches, Moitra posted a heartwarming image on X (formerly Twitter), where the couple is seen cutting a wedding cake. In the photograph, Moitra, 50, donned a peach saree that complemented Misra’s waistcoat, and their wedding cake stood out with playful symbols like a gavel, sunglasses, handbag, and briefcases, creatively representing their political and legal careers.

Pinaki Misra, aged 65, began his political career with the Congress Party, winning his first Lok Sabha seat from Puri in 1996. He later joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and served multiple terms in Parliament. A prominent legal mind, he is currently a senior advocate in the Supreme Court. Misra was earlier married to Sangeeta Misra, with whom he has two children.
Mahua Moitra, now in her second term as the MP from Krishnanagar, is a former investment banker who transitioned into Indian politics after working with JP Morgan in New York and London. She entered politics in 2008 and quickly emerged as a prominent voice within the TMC.
