Court Happening (16-12-22)

1- The Saket court will hear on December 17 the bail application filed by Aftab Punewala, who is in jail in the Shraddha murder case.

The pieces of the body found by the police in the form of bones from the forests of Mehrauli belonged to Shraddha.

According to the CFSL report, the DNA of Shraddha’s father has matched the pieces of bones. Please inform that Aftab was arrested in the Shraddha murder case.

In police interrogation, Aftab had told that it was he who killed Shraddha. Aftab was Shraddha’s lover.

Both were residents of Mumbai and had recently shifted to Delhi. In Delhi, both were living in a live-in relationship by taking a flat in Mehrauli.

2- The Rouse Avenue Court will hear on December 17 the application filed by the ED regarding senior Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal.

The ED wants to bring him to Delhi on transit remand for questioning in connection with cattle smuggling worth crores of rupees in West Bengal.

However, Mandal’s counsel challenged this in the Delhi High Court. But the High Court sent the case back to Rouse Avenue Court.

Mandal is currently in judicial custody at the Asansol Special Correctional Home in the West Burdwan district.

3- The Rouse Avenue Court will hear on December 17 the bail plea filed by accused Sharad Chandra Reddy, arrested in the Delhi Excise Policy case.

In the last hearing, ED had told the court that the investigation against Sharad Chandra Reddy is pending, charge sheet has not yet been filed against Sharad Chandra Reddy.

4- The Rouse Avenue Court will hear on December 17 the case of former Union Minister P Chidambaram in the money laundering case related to the Aircel Maxis deal.

The court has placed on record the charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against former Union minister P Chidambaram and his son Karti and others.

5- The Rouse Avenue Court will hear on December 17 the bail plea filed by accused Sameer Mahendru in the Excise Policy case.

ED has filed a charge sheet against Sameer Mahendru in this case of a liquor scam.

In the Rouse Avenue Court, the ED’s counsel had said that Sameer Mahendru had arranged the money from the South Group.

6-The Saket court will hear on December 17 the review petition filed against the dismissal of the intervention petition filed in the Saket court on the ownership petition in the Qutub Minar complex in Delhi.

In fact, Hindu organizations have filed a petition in the Saket court requesting the right to worship the idols of Hindu and Jain deities in the Qutub Minar complex.

7- After the remand period of the accused arrested in the case of an acid attack on a teenager in the Mohan Garden area is over, they will be produced in the Dwarka court on December 17.

In this case, the police arrested 3 people including the main accused Sachin. Two of the arrested accused are minors.
