The Supreme Court will hear on January 18 a petition seeking a CBI probe into the alleged corruption cases against Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu.

The petition has been filed by the Arunachal Justice Forum. In which a “preliminary inquiry/investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation” has been sought against several allegations of corruption against the CM.

The petition alleged several cases of corruption against the chief minister, including undeclared assets, making several illegal appointments in the state, misappropriation of funds, allotting mineral and mining licenses to private companies without bidding, etc.

The Supreme Court will hear on January 18 the petition of the Google Company against the fine imposed on Google by the Competition Company of India (CCI).

Actually, American tech company Google has challenged the order of NCLAT in the Supreme Court, in which it refused to stay the penalty imposed by CCI on Google company.

NCLAT refused to stay the order of CCI, saying that the order was given on 20 October 2022, while the appeal against it was filed on 20 December 2022.

Explain that Sanjeev Chaturvedi had filed an RTI request in August 2017 seeking information about the action taken on complaints of corruption against Union Ministers.

He had also sought information about black money brought from abroad since 2014.

This petition pertains to radiation from mobile towers. Juhi Chawla, in her petition, has appealed for regulation to reduce radiation to minimize health hazards.

Puri is also an accused in cases related to the AgustaWestland helicopter scam and the Moser Baer scam.

He is currently out on bail in cases related to both the scams.

According to the ED, in the fertilizer scam, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Rajya Sabha member Amarendra Dhari Singh and IFFCO Managing Director and CEO U.K. s. Awasthi is also included.
