In a major setback to Union Minister Narayan Rane, Supreme Court in its order today upholds the Bombay High Court order directing the demolition of his Juhu bungalow for violating building and CRZ norms.
A bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, dismissed Rane’s appeal, as he had moved against the order of the Bombay High Court, directing demolition of the illegal structure within 2 weeks.
The Supreme Court passed the order after hearing Rane’s appeal, as he had challenged the Bombay High Court order before it.
Supreme Court also ordered that the Union Minister and BJP leader, Rane shall have to demolish the illegal structure in the next three months.
