The Pune District Court issued an odd notice on October 20 asking female attorneys not to “arrange” their hair in open court as doing so hinders the Court’s operations.
Sources claim that the contentious notice was taken down on Saturday after complaints were made.
“It is frequently observed that female attorneys are styling their hair in public, which disrupts the court’s operation. Thus, it is hereby requested that women’s rights advocates refrain from doing so “
Indira Jaising, a senior attorney, tweeted the following on Saturday:
“Wow now look ! Who is distracted by women advocates and why”
