Delhi lieutenant governor (LG) Vinay Kumar Saxena said that Aam Aadmi party leader, which includes Atishi, Saurab Bhardwaj, Durjesh Pathak, Sanjay Singh and Jasmine Shah, called him “disparaging”. sent a legal notice for making a “malicious” accusation.
The notice directs the AAP leaders to issue a Press release directing all members of the party and all persons associated with it, whether directly or indirectly, to cease and desist from spreading and circulating false, defamatory, malicious and unsubstantiated statements.
The legal notice requires the AAP leader to respond within 48 hours of receiving the request. AAP abused its position by accusing Delhi LG of corruption.
On August 29, the AAP claimed in the Delhi parliament that Saxena pressured employees to exchange demonetised notes worth $1.400 crore in 2016, when he was chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission in 2016.
The party also accused him of misusing his position for his daughter when he was a chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission by awarding a contract for the interior designing of Khadi lounge in Mumbai to his daughter. The party, led by Arvind Kejriwal, called for a CBI and ED investigation into the matter, as well as his resignation and arrest.
