Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh got bail from Bombay High Court

Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh got bail from the Bombay High Court in the corruption case and it was banned shortly after getting bail, after hearing the case on Monday, the court granted bail to Anil Deshmukh, but only a few days later. Later, the court also banned the bail. The court has currently withheld the bail for 10 days.

Let us tell you that Anil Deshmukh is accused of alleged extortion of Rs 100 crore and he was arrested in this case only. CBI is investigating this matter. Earlier, Deshmukh’s bail plea was rejected last month by a special CBI court, after which he moved the High Court.

The CBI had arrested him in a corruption case in April this year. He is lodged in Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai. The Bombay High Court had said last week that considering Deshmukh’s health, prima facie it is of the opinion that hearing on his bail application filed in the corruption and misuse of position case should be given priority.
