Big relief for actress Jacqueline Fernandez, gets interim bail in ₹200 crore extortion case

A popular Bollywood actress, Jacqueline Fernandez was granted interim bail by Patiala House Court in New Delhi on a personal bail bond of Rs 50,000 in an alleged money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

She has been called before the court in relation to a charge of money laundering involving 200 crore rupees.

Fernandez appeared today before the Special NIA judge Shailendra Malick, and because the supplementary charge sheet in the case has been filed, her legal team filed a pre-arrest bail application, to which, the court granted interim bail.

Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Shailender Malik sought a response from the ED on Jacqueline’s bail plea. The Court granted interim bail to her, on the request of Jacqueline’s lawyer, and asked her to deposit a personal bail bond of Rs 50,000

She has previously been called twice by Delhi Police for questioning regarding her alleged involvement in the case. In addition, the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police questioned Jacqueline’s stylist, Leepakshi Ellawadi, in connection with the matter earlier this month for over eight hours
